- 3-Day Workshop-

 

 

Dear supervisors and trainees,

We are pleased to invite you to attend a three full day hands-on workshop at TRIUMF prior to WTTC18. This workshop will consist of half day lectures and half-day lab practice in our TRIUMF labs. Participants will learn about the production of medical radionuclides from our medical cyclotron (TR13) on the first day, radiochemical separation of radionuclides on the second day, and radiolabeling and chelation study on the last day. This will provide trainees with principles and requirements of production of medical radionuclides.

AM/PM Discussion and QA session/training
PM Practice in targetry lab and TR-13

 

August 19
AM Lectures on radiochemical separation of radionuclides
AM/PM Discussion and QA session/training
PM Practice in radiochemistry lab (RCR2)

 

August 20
AM Lectures on chelation aspects and radiolabeling
AM/PM Laboratory practice radiolabeling (RCR1+RCR2)
PM Departure to Whistler for WTTC meeting

 

Registration will be on the first come-first serve basis. Priority will be given to undergraduate (bachelor, master), PhD students, postdocs and young professionals.

 

Space is limited to 20 trainees.
